<p>1. Event Overview</p>



<p>The 2026 Hyperfly Jiu-Jitsu Gi &amp; No-Gi Asian Open Championships marks the inaugural edition of this prestigious international event, presented by the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation of the Philippines (BJJFP) in partnership with Hyperfly Philippines.</p>



<p>The event features dedicated children’s divisions with separate boys’ and girls’ weight categories, with the goal of further developing athletes at the grassroots level.</p>



<p>In addition, there will be an adults absolute and weight class divisions for all belts.All divisions will follow JJIF rules and weight classes.</p>



<p>Cash prizes, gift certificates, and Hyperfly Philippines gear are on the line for overall team winners and individuals who win the absolute and/or weight class divisions. Podium finishers receive an all new redesigned medal. Standout performances receive the chance to be an official Hyperfly Philippines sponsored athlete.</p>

<li>All Gi and No-Gi divisions will be held on the same day</li>



<li>Matches begin with Children, followed by Juniors, Masters, Female, and Male divisions</li>
</ul>



<p>Competitors must check the final bracket schedule on Friday before the event. All athletes must be at the venue at least two hours before their scheduled match.</p>

<p>All divisions will strictly follow JJIF rules (which are similar to IBJJF) weight classes and age groups for Childrens divisions, ensuring standardized competition formats and fair matchups for all participants. This provides structured preparation for youth athletes aiming to represent the Philippine National Team and compete in international JJIF or even IBJJF-sanctioned tournaments in the future.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Jiu Jitsu Federation of the Philippines (JJFP) is the National&nbsp; Sports Association (NSA)&nbsp; for Jiu Jiitsu in the Philippines recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC ) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC ) and is a member of the Jiu Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) which is striving to establish Jiu Jitsu as an Olympic Sport.&nbsp;</p>



<p>JJFP hold annual National Selection trials to find the best athletes to represent the Philippines. Competitors n the JJFP National Team Selection Trials must hold a Philippine passport or are Filipinos holding&nbsp; an expired passport with an appointment for renewal. Current team members will be seeded. The JJIF competition rule set will apply.</p>



<p><strong>Competitors Note:</strong>&nbsp;JJFP will be hosting Gi Adults Kids&nbsp; Teens , Juniors Fighting Contact and No gi divisions in this years Trials. Competitors must compete in the weight class they fall under, they cannot compete in the weight class above, ie U77kg player cannot compete in U85kg. <li>The Adult National Team comprises of two persons per weight class&nbsp; (except Male +94kg&nbsp; no players ) and 2 more as part of the training pool . All competitors must be a member of a JJFP Member Club and a paid up Individual member of JJFP member Club. Players selected from here and abroad need to compete at the Trials.&nbsp;</li>



<li>Junior National Team under age 18 :&nbsp; Junior team members&nbsp; will be selected from players based here and Abroad. Juniors must meet the same membership criteria as adults including having a current Filipino passport&nbsp; or eligible to hold one affiliating to a local member team and paying the annual membership.&nbsp; Junior Divisions are up to age 21. The 1st choice local selections will go to athletes that competed in the Trials.</li>

<li>Youth International Divisions are under 14 , U 16 and U18 years. All Youth players must be eligible to hold a Filipino passport or are applying for one now , are part of a member team and are members of the Jiu Jitsu Federation of the Philippines (JJFP) The Philippine Youth Jiu Jitsu and Adult Team under JJFP are the only athletes recognized to compete in International Jiu Jitsu Competitions.</li>



<li>Masters Divisions have been added to the competition , but only players that compete in the Adult Trial divisions are eligible for the National Training Pool.. Winners in the Masters divisions can compete under the Philippine Team&nbsp; in self funded International events in Masters divisions only .&nbsp;</li>



<li>Medals Every weight classes’ FOUR best fighters receive medals</li>



<li>Weigh in: Adults Athletes will weigh in the day before see schedule above . This is the official weigh in (day before only ) you will be disqualified if you do not make weight at an official weigh in . The Official Weigh-in dress must be minimum a non &#8211; transparent T-shirt and Shorts covering the knees . The Weigh-in is under the supervision of a weigh-in official to ensure the athlete reaches the minimum and maximum weight limit of the weight category in which he or she is entered.</li>

<li>In the Jiu-Jitsu competition, each weight category will consist of a double elimination repechage tournament. The winners of the Semi-finals will advance to the Final. The competitors defeated in the elimination rounds will compete in the repechage, the two winners of repechage contests will be ranked third places</li>

<li>3 Players &#8211; Round Robin (divisions with 3 players)</li>

Whereas a Current National Athlete is injured &nbsp;( with Doctors Certificate for sickness and on Orthopedic Certificate for any injuries ) The exempted Athletes can maintain a place in the team as part of the training pool and could enter events by winning the Internal trials. This exemption applies only to athletes that have medaled in any Multi Sport or JJIF event as part of the current National Team prior to the Trials.&nbsp;</li>

<p>Injured NTPs:</p>



<p>* NTPs who suffered an injury during official JJFP sanctioned events and training sessions and cannot compete in the National Trials will retain their NTP status for a 6-month period from the time of the injury, provided that the injured athlete heal and participate in an internal trials with the medalists from the trials for a chance to retain their slot. A PSC doctor will recommend if the injured athlete is not fit to compete in the trials date. Should the injured athlete be unable to heal and participate in an internal trials to compete for their slot in the national team within the 6-month period from the date of injury, the injured athlete will then concede their slot in the National team.</p>

<p> <strong>Other Rules </strong></p>



<ul>
<li>All Fighters must wear shoes around the competition area; failure to do so may mean disqualification. </li>



<li>All competitors must enter the mat area when called from the weigh in area regardless if you weighed in the day before, climbing over the barricades or entry from another part of the enclosure will lead to disqualification.</li>



<li>All winners must ensure they leave their contact details at the Podium Table</li>

<p><strong>EVENT INFORMATION and REGULATIONS </strong></p>



<p>1.<strong>Competitors</strong> : please leave the competition area after your match to avoid congestion in the area. BE AT THE EVENT AREA ONE HOUR BEFORE YOUR MATCH SCHEDULE.</p>



<p>2.<strong>Attire :</strong> Undergarments must be worn, Men no Tshirts rash guard allowed under the Gi , Ladies Rash guard is allowed no Sports Bra. Check your Gi for the correct position of the patches and the quality of your Belt it should not be frayed and reach the length as prescribed by IBJJF .</p>



<p>3. <strong>Not Allowed : </strong>Competitors are not allowed to wear groin cups.. Knee braces should not contain metal or plastic material. Gi &amp; No Gi no slippery creams or oils allowed on the body or hair. </p>



<p>4. <strong>Coaching :</strong> No Coaching within the Mat Area, except one Coach is allowed for Children&#8217;s  or Novice matches, or for hearing impaired athletes. Please sit at the table side chairs and  leave the area after the match.</p>



<p>5. <strong>Photographers </strong>/ Videographers please ask for a Media Badge , no one is allowed in the competition area without a badge.</p>



<p>6. <strong>Footwear</strong> : All competitors <strong>wear slippers</strong> , t<strong>hongs , flip flops , sandals or shoes </strong>around the Venue. <strong>Do not walk barefoot</strong> the dirt transfers to the mat.</p>



<p>7. <strong>Weigh in :</strong> If you do not make weight during the official weigh in you can be disqualified.</p>



<p>8 .<strong>Change room</strong> /<strong> Toilet </strong> :Situated behind the stage down the stairs  , wear your Gi or rash guard when in the mall do not walk around with out a shirt.</p>



<p>9. <strong>Discipline</strong> : Please Observe the commands given by the Guards and  the Event staff</p>



<p>10. <strong>Awarding</strong> : You must receive your medal on the Podium,  dressed in Competition attire.  One person only to accompany the winners on the stage to receive their medals. No awarding will be made if there are more than one accompanying the medalist. This is for safety reasons on the stage.</p>

You have one minute to change your Gi if it does not meet the specifications. Short sleeve Rash guards should be body fitting and contain not less than 10 % of your belt colour . Tops or shirts that are not body fitting are not allowed  you will be required to change.</p>

<p>The Philippine Jiu Jitsu Intl Open Bicol . This years event will have  divisions  for Children Juniors , Adults and Masters up to M2 for Male and M1 Female Gi and No Gi.</p>



<p>For the 1st time the event will be held at&nbsp; the beautiful Churinga Eco Resort.&nbsp;Food , Buko Jiuce , water will be available at the Farm.</p>



<p><strong>Date&nbsp;</strong>:&nbsp; April&nbsp; 12, Start 9am&nbsp; Saturday all Gi matches&nbsp; and Children&nbsp; matches</p>



<p>April 13 ; All No Gi Matches plus a&nbsp; free seminar&nbsp; for competitors by Coach Stephen after the matches . Non Competitors pay P300 for the&nbsp; Resort fee.</p>

<p><strong>The 2024 Asia Pacific Gi International Open&nbsp;</strong>is a standard Gi competition under IBJJF rules for ADULTS , KIDS , TEENS JUNIORS&nbsp; &nbsp;and &nbsp;MASTERS Gi&nbsp; held on&nbsp; Saturday October 5&nbsp; , &nbsp;No Gi&nbsp; SUBMISSION ONLY Sunday October 6&nbsp; .</p>



<p><strong>The Asia Pacific Submission No Gi International Open&nbsp;</strong>is the 1st Submission&nbsp; and only major BJJ International in the region . We look forward to continuing this success with the support of the teams and players in the region.This year more divisions have been added both Male / Female Children&#8217;s division and Junior divisions. Male / Female Masters up to Masters 4.&nbsp; Children&#8217;s divisions start at ages +6 and under 8, +8 U10, +10 U12 , teens 13 to 15 , Juniors +15 to Under 18.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Win by Submission or Advantages for Submission attempts when there is a visable&nbsp; defense and your oppopnent is in danger of being submitted but they escape.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Asia Pacific Ultimate Takedowns </strong>  Gi  (Open Belt) will be held on the S<strong>aturday October 5. Rules are based </strong>n tohe Fighting System of JJIF  this comp is designed to find the best takedown competitors that can compete in the JJIF Ju Jitsu Fighting system . <strong>Take down scoring </strong> :  Match time 3 minutes , Advantage 1 point , Takedown with 3 second stabilization 2 points  after scoring competitors will restart from standing .  An Athlete that scores three 2 point takedowns is declared the winner .  Penalties plus one point to the opponent , disqualification on the 4th penalty. </p>

<li>Stalling after 10 seconds the athlete will be penalized if they are not attacking , mount and back control submission defense or submission attempts are not included.</li>



<li>Penalty allocation 1st penalty on the board, 2nd penalty plus advantage , 3 rd penalty another advantage , 4 th penalty disqualification.&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>The ADCC Philippine International Open</strong>&nbsp;is one of the longest running ADCC Events in Asia since 2010.</p>

<p>The 1st and one of the largest BJJ International Events in the Asian region since 2005. This year we will have Children Juniors and Adult Divisions all belts up to Masters 4. <p><strong>Pan Asian&nbsp; Ultimate&nbsp; GI Takedowns held on Saturday :</strong>&nbsp; (Open Belt) will be held on the&nbsp; &nbsp;Rules are based on the Fighting System of JJIF &nbsp;this comp is designed to find the best takedown competitors that can compete in the JJIF &nbsp;Ju Jitsu Fighting system .&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<strong>Take down scoring&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;: &nbsp;March time 3 minutes , Advantage 1 point , Takedown with 3 second stabilization 2 points &nbsp;after scoring competitors will restart from standing .&nbsp; An Athlete that scores three 2 point takedowns is declared the winner . &nbsp;Penalties plus one point to the opponent , disqualification on the 4th penalty.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>EVENT INFORMATION and REGULATIONS         IBJJF Rules apply</strong></p>



<p>1.<strong>Competitors</strong> : please leave the competition area after your match to avoid congestion in the area. BE AT THE EVENT AREA ONE HOUR BEFORE YOUR MATCH SCHEDULE.</p>



<p>2.<strong>Attire :</strong> Undergarments must be worn, Men no Tshirts rash guard allowed under the Gi , Ladies Rash guard is allowed no Sports Bra. Check your Gi for the correct position of the patches and the quality of your Belt it should not be frayed and reach the length as prescribed by IBJJF .</p>



<p>3. <strong>Not Allowed : </strong>Competitors are not allowed to wear groin cups.. Knee braces should not contain metal or plastic material. Gi &amp; No Gi no slippery creams or oils allowed on the body or hair. </p>



<p>4. <strong>Coaching :</strong> No Coaching within the Mat Area, except one Coach is allowed for Children&#8217;s  or Novice matches, or for hearing impaired athletes. Please sit at the table side chairs and leave the area after the match.</p>



<p>5. <strong>Photographers </strong>/ Videographers please ask for a Media Badge , no one is allowed in the competition area without a badge.</p>



<p>6. <strong>Footwear</strong> : All competitors <strong>wear slippers</strong> , t<strong>hongs , flip flops , sandals or shoes </strong>around the Venue. <strong>Do not walk barefoot</strong> the dirt transfers to the mat.</p>



<p>7. <strong>Weigh in :</strong> If you do not make weight during the official weigh in you will be disqualified.</p>



<p>8. <strong>Absolute registration </strong>:register at the same time you register for your weight class. A penalty will apply if you register after you have registered for your weight class.</p>



<p>9 .<strong>Change room</strong> /<strong> Toilet </strong> :Situated behind the stage down the stairs  , wear your Gi or rash guard when in the mall do not walk around with out a shirt. Do not change in Public and always wear a shirt.</p>



<p>10. <strong>Discipline</strong> : Please Observe the commands given by the Guards and  the Event staff</p>



<p>11. <strong>Awarding</strong> : You must receive your medal on the Podium,  dressed in Competition attire.  You can not get your medal after the awarding ceremony. One person only to accompany the medalists on stage to receive their medals. No awarding can be made if there are more than one other person accompanying the medalist. This is for safety reasons.</p>



<p>12. <strong>Gi &amp; Rash Guard Checking </strong>: Your Gi will be checked prior to the match , pre check your Gi and Belt  that it matches the IBJJF requirements. You have one minute to change your Gi if it does not meet the specifications. Short sleeve Rash guards only they should be body fitting and contain not less than 10 % of your belt colour . Tops or shirts that are not body fitting are not allowed  you will be required to change.</p>



<p>13 .<strong> Ayala Mall</strong> : We are very grateful for the use of the Mall , Respect the Mall and its patrons , follow the  instruction given by the Guards and Comp Officials , please keep your area clean and be courteous to others , no swearing or bad language is tolerated. <strong>PICK UP YOUR TRASH.</strong> We want to project a good image of ourselves and the sport.</p>



<p>14.<strong> Eligibility :</strong> Black Belts Adult competitors  in Judo and National Team Wrestlers  &#8211; Register as Blue Belts in the Adult Divisions or if you Qualify as a Master register in the Purple belt division   Masters Division in both Gi and No Gi  <br><br><strong>GI Dress Code </strong>: <strong>IBJJF Rules apply</strong></p>

<p>GIs should be tailored using cotton or cotton-like fabric only. The fabric should not be so thick or hard as to impede an opponent from gripping it. For juvenile, adult, master and senior divisions, a GI fashioned from woven fabric is mandatory.</p>



<p>It is permitted to wear kimono with EVA or similar material inside the collar, if the measures of size and rigidity regulations provided in the IBJJF Rules Book are followed.GI COLOR AND PATCHES</p>



<p>GIs must be of uniform color.</p>



<p>The following colors are permissible: white, royal blue or black. Gis with tops and pants of different colors are not permitted; nor are GIs with a collar that is a different color than the rest of the top.</p>



<p>Painted GIs are forbidden, unless the paint is designed in the form of an academy or sponsor logo – and only on regions of the GI where patches are permitted.</p>



<p>Even in cases where they are permitted, the athlete will be obliged to change GIs should the paint mark the GI of the opponent.</p>



<p>Patches may only be affixed in authorized regions of the GI, as depicted in the IBJJF Rules Book. They should be of cotton fabric and properly seamed.</p>

Once tied in a double knot, each end of the belt should hang 20 to 30 cm in length.GI MEASUREMENTS</p>



<p>The GI top should reach the athlete’s thigh and the sleeves should come to no more than 5 cm from the athlete’s wrist when the arm is extended straight parallel to the ground.</p>



<p>GI pants should reach no more than 5 cm above the tibial malleolus (ankle bone).</p>

<p>Board shorts colored black, white, black and white, and/or the color of the rank (belt) to which the athlete belongs, without pockets or with the pockets stitched completely shut, without buttons, exposed drawstrings, zippers or any form of plastic or metal that could present a risk to the opponent, long enough to cover at least halfway down the thigh, and no longer than the knee.</p>

<p>The 2023 South East Asian Friendship Games is the new  event in the region,  open to all competitors in <strong>White , Blue </strong>and <strong>Purple Belt Divisions</strong>  only , <strong>including Kids ,Juniors and Master M1 and M2</strong> . The skills and future of the sport depends on the next generation of competitors and this event is designed to showcase and provide more opportunities  to develop these skills in our community . </p>



<p><strong>VENUE  </strong>: <strong>Ayala Circuit Makati (Activity Center) </strong>  On behalf of the BJJ community we wish to thank Ayala Circuit Makati and the staff for their continued support of the sport of Jiu Jitsu. IBJJF Rules apply for both Gi and No Gi. </p>

<li>Wear a T shirt  or rash guard at all times around the venue we are in a shopping center not the gym .</li>

<p><strong>GI AND NO GI ATTIRE</strong>: inspection is made prior to the match to ensure competition clothing meets the standards set by IBJJF see the rules section for further information at ibjjf.com. Head dress cab be worn by female competitors.</p>

<li><strong>Gi ATTIRE</strong> :  must be of uniform colour , of sufficient length ie the sleeves should be 5cm from  wrist when arms are extended forward,  the jacket must  reach the athletes thigh area , pants need to reach the ankles. Only female competitors can  wear a rash guard under the Gi. Undergarments must be worn , Gi must be clean and the belt and Gi in  good condition .</li>

<li><strong>PATCHES</strong> may only be affixed in authorized regions of the GI, as depicted in the IBJJF Rules Book. They should be of cotton fabric and properly seamed.</li>



<li><strong>NO GI RASH GUARDS  </strong>Both genders must wear a shirt of elastic material (skin tight) long enough to cover the torso all the way to the waistband of the shorts, colored black, white, or black and white, and with at least 10% of the rank color(belt) to which the athlete belongs. <li> <strong>NO GI SHORTS FOR MEN   : </strong>Board shorts colored black, white, black and white, and/or the color of the rank (belt) to which the athlete belongs, without pockets or with the pockets stitched completely shut, without buttons, exposed drawstrings, zippers or any form of plastic or metal that could present a risk to the opponent, long enough to cover at least halfway down the thigh, and no longer than the knee.</li>

<li><strong>NO GI SHORTS FOR WOMEN</strong> <strong>:  </strong>Shorts, compression pants (skin-tight spats) and/or compression shorts colored black, white, black and white, and/or the color of the rank (belt) to which the athlete belongs. <li><strong>GI AND RASH GUARD CHECKING</strong> : Your Gi will be checked prior to the match , pre check your Gi and Belt  that it matches the IBJJF requirements. You have one minute to change your Gi if it does not meet the specifications. Short sleeve Rash guards only they should be body fitting and contain not less than 10 % of your belt colour . Tops or shirts that are not body fitting are not allowed  you will be required to change.</li>
</ul>



<p>   <strong> EVENT INFORMATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS</strong> </p>



<ol>
<li><strong>Competitors</strong> : please leave the competition area after your match to avoid congestion in the area. BE AT THE EVENT AREA ONE HOUR BEFORE YOUR MATCH SCHEDULE.</li>



<li><strong>Not Allowed : </strong>Competitors are not allowed to wear groin cups.. Knee braces should not contain metal or plastic material. Gi &amp; No Gi no slippery creams or oils allowed on the body or hair. </li>



<li><strong>Coaching :</strong> No Coaching within the Mat Area, except one Coach is allowed for Children&#8217;s  or Novice matches, or for hearing impaired athletes. Please sit at the table side chairs and leave the area after the match.</li>



<li><strong>Photographers </strong>/ Videographers please ask for a Media Badge , no one is allowed in the competition area without a badge.</li>



<li><strong>Change room</strong> /<strong> Toilet </strong> :Situated behind the stage down the stairs  , wear your Gi or rash guard when in the mall do not walk around with out a shirt. Do not change in Public and always wear a shirt.</li>



<li><strong>Discipline</strong> : Please Observe the commands given by the Guards and  the Event staff</li>



<li><strong>Awarding</strong> : You must receive your medal on the Podium,  dressed in Competition attire. Can not receive your medal after the awarding ceremony. Single medalist can pick up their medals as per announcer.</li>



<li><strong>Ayala Mall</strong> : We are very grateful for the use of the Mall , Respect the Mall and its patrons , follow the instructions given by the Guards and Comp Officials , please keep your area clean and be courteous to others , no swearing or bad language is tolerated. <strong>PLEASE PICK UP YOUR TRASH.</strong> We want to project a good image of ourselves and the sport.</li>



<li><strong>Eligibility :</strong> Black Belts Adult competitors  in Judo and National Team Wrestlers  &#8211; Register as Blue Belts in the Adult Divisions or if you Qualify as a Master register in the Purple belt division   Masters Division in both Gi and No Gi . </li>
